4JET Technologies GmbH is launching new products and advancements for thin-film solar cells during INTERSOLAR Munich 2012.
Besides the advanced INLINE tool for laser edge deletion, which can now also be offered with integrated process controls, 4JET presents a newly developed FLEX tool for processing flexible solar cells.
The unique tool design enables the P1-P3 serial integration of flexible CIGS, a-Si- and organic thin-film solar cells on polymer- or metal substrates, thus allowing new approaches to the module design. The monolithic integration allows true roll to roll processing and provides for advantages over connecting individual small cell shingles to a module.
At the same time 4JET also informs about the latest generation of GDS tool for laser drilling of solar glass. Other than conventional mechanical processes, laser drilling provides for a touchless and dry process, as well as minimzed wear of the substrate glass. Post processing is not required. Further advantages include not only the high process stability and reproducibility, but also the high flexibility. The software allows different drill geometries including bevels without any mechanical re-tooling.
