Dear Customers and Partners,
the Covid 19 pandemia impacts all our personal and professional lives unlike any other event in recent history. Amidst this turmoil, we would like to briefly inform you on how the 4JET Group is adressing the challenges:
Our clear focus in the last weeks was everyones health and safety. We were fast to establish a wide shift to remote work already beginning of this month and implemented procedures to separate our teams and our 3 locations in Germany. We strictly follow or exceed safety precautions recommended by the authorities in our key business territories in Germany, the USA and China. Fortunately, as of today, no team member has been tested positive.
We managed to assure business continuity with approximately 70% of our teams working remote and with an almost seamless transition to mostly virtual operations. We are continuing assembly operations and jobshop service in our Eschweiler and Prutting factories, as well as R+D testing in Alsdorf following strict protocol to keep employees separated and at a distance. Up to this date, there are no serious disruptions and we continue to ship product.
Our biggest short term challenge are travel restrictions that delay on-site work. Our installation teams in Europe, USA and China are grounded for the time being, but we use this opportunity to reduce overtime and provide training to our teams. To help our international customers keep up or restart production in this crisis, we are extending our remote service offering by 24/7 hotline and remote access to the entire install base free of charge until at least June 30 (our service department will reach out to you on this).
We are going through this crisis with an exceptionally dedicated team, calm confidence and the firm belief that not only 4JET, but our societies and our markets will weather this storm.
Lets now all focus on supporting the health professions and those working in public service, trade or transport. And lets look out for our families and friends. We will get through this.
